RE: your opinion on a trade deal...

I would take the deal. No Monthly Payments and you have a brand new 2009 TH.

RE: Does anyone have one of these??

Todd I have another brand, Power Mover. Had it since 2005, used it a year when I had my TT and it saved my marriage, sanity and stress. On the side of my house I also have a gas meter where I would park. The mover was the only way I could safely move without the risk. It turns great and make it very easy to put in place. However you'll need to have 110v power to do it.
I too have Power Mover. Works very well. It also works on grass. The only issue was when the grass was wet because of sprinklers. I needed a board under so it would not spin. Other than that it's a great investment for me and my wife.

RE: Fleetwood $1.65

I was very close in getting a job at Fleetwood (Riverside, Ca). I'm glad I was not chosen. These are hard times.

I sure do. Old issues are in my rig so when we go camping and I have something to read while DW has her paperback books.

RE: I could use some more help folks

I'm still searching for the right toy hauler at the right price. I have eliminated 5ers mainly because of my tow vehicle. I've been finding some pretty good deals on 2006, 2007 and 2008 left overs. One dealer has a 2006 Coachmen Adrenaline 228FB/TT that's brand new with a 4.0 Onan genny for about $22K out the door. This is a very good deal because even used it books around $27K and this one is new and never titled. Does anybody know where I can find the specs on this unit before I drive the 4 hours to go look at it?
Here you go.

RE: Oven Pilot not Lighting

Since it's supposedly fixed and doesn't appear to supply gas on the first attempt:
Set the knob to pilot and push it in for several minutes and try to light it.
If it still won't light, pull the oven setting knob off. There's a screw under there that turns 90 degrees. That screw is the on/off valve for the pilot light. Turn the screw and try to light it normally.
Thanks for your advised. It worked great. I tried it again Sunday and it did not work. So on Monday, I thought I would try it one more time. I turned the oven knob pass 400 and turned it back to pilot and held it for 15 seconds. After I turned it back, I heard a sound(hissing)that resembles the pilot blowing propane so I was able to light it and used the oven.
Kids were getting worried and thinking of cereals again for breakfast but after I was able to light it, we had biscuits and gravy. :) Thanks again.

Thanks. I will try that. Is it bad to have a fire under the pilot for a long time (2 minutes) waiting it to get lit?

Oven Pilot not Lighting

Good Morning Everyone...We are camping right now and running into a little trouble My oven pilot is not lighting. A month ago, I took the trailer in to the dealer for some repairs. One of the repairs is that the oven does not stay on. I would light the pilot and preheat the oven After the preheat everything turns off (including the pilot). The dealer has fixed that so they say. Today is the first time I am using the oven. Now the pilot would not even light on. I gam able to use my stovetop with no problems. Am I missing anything? Thanks

RE: Extended Warranty purchased with WW

The dealer where I bought my 2009 Rage'n called me to offer me a western general extended warranty since Rage'n has closed. I did a search on western general and all you read about is them not honoring claims, saying the repair isn't covered. Does anyone have anything positive to say about a western general extended warranty?
Same boat here, '09 Ragen. I couldn't get info I was looking for from Western Gen. And I was a prospective client......... not looking to make a claim! I did some reading on this board, and found some good words about Good Sam continued service plan....... or what ever its called. I was able to get a quote mailed to me, but I was turned off because the policy is set up for a motorhome. Do we toyhaulers need roadside assistance and lodging, coverage on drivetrain etc. It seemed to me that mostly, it was a duplication of coverage on items under manufacture's warranty..... appliances, etc. I did not find any 3rd party policies to cover my big worries..... manufacture's defects - such as staple through a hose, pinched wire, inproper roof sealant etc. basically assembly line screw ups. I like the previous advice of putting the money in a CD instead of one of these policies. I guess it all comes down to your individual comfort level - what ever floats your boat, but for me - I just can't see any value.
I did the same too with my '07 Ragen. I receive a quote from Good Sam CSP. But it is all for appliance warranties which my trailer still currently has. I agree with you. I can't see spending money for something I am already covered. Am I missing something?

Here's a printable PDF from A&E Dometic. The operation is essentially the same if you have an A&E or Carefree.

RE: Operating an awning

First time I put mine out I got it out ok but when I tried to put it back, I messed up and slightly bent one of the main supports. As I stood there with one of those "oh no, now what" looks my neighbor came over and asked if he could help. He helped (read "did the work") bend the support arm back and then showed me how to operate the thing. I was talking about maybe replacing the arm and he told me he had done the same thing to an older TT he had, bent it back in shape and used it for nine years before he sold the TT. It is working now and after his instruction I am working just fine. Thank goodness for Good Samaritans.
This is somtething similar to what happened to me on my second time. I was able to set it up but then when I rolled it up the right side ould not go back in place to get locked. I think...I know I missed a step in putting it back.

Operating an awning

We've operated our awning twice since we had our trailer in March. First time we had assistance. The second we manage to do it ourselves but took a while. Does anyone know where I can find a video that shows how to properly operate an awning? Thank you in advance.

No toys here either unless you count kid's bicycles :). Wife and I just like the floorplan. Bunk beds are much bigger and easier to load.

RE: CSP - Need Help in Understanding

Does your trailer come with a 1 year warranty? I know ours is a different brand but the 2 year warranty began when we purchased it new in September '07, even though it is an '07 and the '08s were already out. We chose to forgo the extended warranty on this TT.I would think your manufacturer's warranty should cover you until you have had your trailer 1 year.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong, I am just speaking from my own experience.
Happy camping!
My trailer came with a 2 year warranty. Unfortunately my manufacture (Weekend Warrior) has closed down. So if I have issues with axles, frame, anything structural may the dealer may not be willing to fix it because they will not get reimburse by the manufacture.

CSP - Need Help in Understanding

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone on this forum (RV.net). This has been an invaluable source of information for me from deciding to buy, what to buy, purchase, inspection, and enjoying camping. Thank You!
I have 07' Ragen which I purchased in March 08'. I know reading from this net that I no longer have manufacture warranty. So I am looking into purchasing a Good Sam CSP. But after reading what it covers, it sounds like an overlapping warranty on my rig. Even though I do not have the manufacture warranty, I still have the appliance warranty such as Dometic, Atwood, etc. Most of the appliances still have 2-3 years warranty. Can someone educate me on what CSP will offer that I currently do not have? FYI...I took my rig in for very "minor" warranty repairs to Richardson RV in Riverside and they fix everything (i.e. oven, break in water hose, awning, etc). Service Tech told me that they will continue to work on warranty items as long as they can get the part. I am leary that someday, they will tell me that I no longer have a warranty or they cannot fix it because they will not get paid. This is why I am looking to see if CSP or CoachNet will serve me.

RE: Proper LPG Start Up - 2 Questions

What kind of mileage are you getting? What is your fuel cost per mile?
I haven't calculated that yet. I've had the trailer since March and have gone on weekend trips only (around 4 times).

Proper LPG Start Up - 2 Questions

First Question: I have 2 - 20 lbs LPG Tanks. I wanted if there is a preferred or correct way to use them. My LPG will automatically switch over when one is empty.
1.) Turn both on all the way to "open".
2.) Turn one of them all the way to "open".
3.) Turn both on half way.
4.) Turn one of them half way.
Second Question: Can anybody suggest a device that will work on both LPG tanks that will let me know what the level of propane is inside.
Thanks in advance.
